HOLDING BIDEN’S DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE ACCOUNTABLE

The Biden administration’s decision to weaponize the FBI and raid President Trump’s home under the guise of a frivolous document preservation scheme is unAmerican and dangerous. It is so outrageous that it makes Watergate—where federal agents also raided a political rival’s office—look small in comparison.

I am taking action to save our Constitutional Republic and preserve the rule of law. I am proud to have co-sponsored Freedom Caucus Chairman Scott Perry’s articles of impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland for his egregious targeting of American citizens and politicization of the Justice Department. In response to Congressman Perry’s stand for truth, the FBI seized his personal phone just one day after raiding President Trump’s home.

If they can come after President Trump and Congressman Perry, they can come after you and me. This cannot stand. I will hold the DOJ and FBI accountable.

Has Biden's Department of Justice been politicized?

Yes, I am worried for our country.

No, I support the FBI targetting Biden's political opponents.

THE INFLATION EXPANSION ACT

Instead of trying to cut spending and curb inflation, Democrats want to pass $350 billion in Green New Deal spending while doubling the size of the IRS by hiring 87,000 new IRS agents.

Here’s a picture of what 87,000 people looks like:

This is dangerous for America and bad for Colorado’s Third District. I will vote no on this bill.

PROTECTING WATER RIGHTS AND CONSERVING THE DOLORES RIVER THROUGH BIPARTISAN LEGISLATION

I am a strong believer that conservation must protect private property rights and be community-driven. I introduced H.R. 8601, the House companion to the Dolores River National Conservation Area and Special Management Area Act because it threads the needle and protects the environment while also protecting private property rights and the local community.

Nearly two-decades in the making, this legislation will cover almost 69,000 acres in the San Juan National Forest and the Dolores River Corridor. In the 1970s, the Bureau of Land Management began the process to designate this part of the Dolores River as a Wild and Scenic River (WSR).

This bipartisan bill will eliminate the threat of a federal water grab through a WSR designation by instead designating the river corridor as a Conservation and Special Management Area. This is good for conservation, good for private property rights, and good for local communities.

So many other public lands bills trample on local communities and private property owners. I am hoping that this community-led legislation will set the example by showing that protecting property rights and conservation can, and should, go hand-in-hand.

CALLING FOR TRANSPARENCY REGARDING SWEETWATER LAKE AND ENSURING THAT LOCAL COMMUNITIES ARE REPRESENTED

This year, the U.S. Forest Service and Governor Polis suddenly announced that Sweetwater Lake will become a new state park. I am concerned that local elected officials and key stakeholders were not consulted during the decision-making process.

I sent the Forest Service an oversight letter to hopefully address local concerns and open avenues for dialogue.

The Sweetwater Lake proposal has a few problems. For instance, the new state park is incompatible with the Forest Plan for White River National Forest. Additionally, the acquisition did not follow the normal procedure established by federal law.

I am an advocate for local communities left out of the public lands decision-making process. For instance, I am committed to ensuring that rural communities do not lose out on resources due to expansive property tax exempt federal lands in their jurisdictions. In last year’s appropriations bills signed into law, I worked to ensure that the Payment In Lieu of Taxes (PILT) Program was fully-funded. This important program helped fund local rural fire-fighting, law enforcement, wildfire prevention, education, infrastructure, and more. I will continue working on behalf of local communities and ensuring that their interests are represented in Congress.

BOEBERT BLAST

The Journal, U.S. Rep. Boebert gets on board with protecting Lower Dolores River canyon

“‘This well-crafted legislation ensures traditional uses like grazing, uranium mining and other mineral extraction, and motorized-vehicle use will continue,” stated Boebert, who represents the 3rd Congressional District. ‘Importantly, this bill prevents a wild and scenic river designation in perpetuity, something that would negatively impact all the aforementioned uses. The hard work of everyone who came to the table to make this happen should be applauded.’ The bill is supported by Republican county commissioners in Montezuma and Dolores counties, and by Democrat commissioners in San Miguel County. It also is supported by the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe of Towaoc, environmental groups and boaters.”

Fox News, Lauren Boebert: Only way Republicans lose in November is if they start acting like Democrats

“Rep. Lauren Boebert: ‘I’m not surprised that America First candidates are winning. No one should be surprised by that because they are wanting to put America first and get our country back on track. That is what is most important. And it is not extreme, it is not far-right to want to do the right thing. It’s okay to say that it’s wrong to mutilate our children. It’s okay to say that parents should be in charge of our children’s education. It’s good to say that we need to lower inflation and not do so by spending another $800 billion. So I’m okay with doing the right thing, and that's what our party needs to get back to. The only way we lose the midterms in November is if Republicans start acting like Democrats and start appeasing them and their voters because they're afraid of a hit-piece.’”

Breitbart, Lauren Boebert: Why Does the IRS Need $700K in Ammunition for Agents?

“The Internal Revenue Service bought nearly $700K in ammunition earlier this year which begs the questions, why do their agents need guns to do their job and who are the IRS arming their agents against?”

Fox News, Boebert to take shot across GOP leadership's bow in CPAC speech: 'Disappointed too many times'

“‘Any member of Congress, from freshmen to those in leadership, who won’t fight with me to end medical tyranny, secure the southern border and fire Anthony Fauci, they will not have my support. Not in their re-election and certainly not for speaker,’ Boebert's speech continues. ‘The Freedom Caucus fired John Boehner, ran off squishy Paul Ryan and we will not tolerate another GOP speaker that works with Democrats more than Republicans. House Republicans must stop funding tyranny. I will not vote to fund a government that mandates the COVID vaccine while allowing our country to be invaded by millions of unvaccinated aliens. End the vax mandate for our hospital workers and service members, build the wall or I’m voting to shut down Biden’s bureaucrats.’”
